NOBU – The iconic brand to launch new luxury hotel in Portman Square W1

One of London’s most popular and vibrant neighbourhoods, Portman Square in Marylebone, is about to become that much cooler thanks to the imminent arrival of Nobu Hotel London - Portman Square.

Nobu Hotel London Portman Square features 249 guest rooms and suites. The accommodation ranges from palatial suites, with spacious living areas and views over the London skyline, to contemporary yet cosy rooms, perfect for an overnight stay in the city. Each bedroom takes its conceptual cues from the traditional English garden within the adjacent Portman Square, drawing on the natural materials, textures and tranquillity of this urban oasis.The hotel’s legendary hospitality and award-winning gastronomy fuses with timeless elegance and contemporary luxury.

Exemplary design will be showcased throughout the interiors of the hotel’s common spaces; including the lobby, lobby lounge, Nobu Bar and Restaurant, outdoor terrace, ballroom and two boardrooms - each conceptualised by internationally acclaimed David Collins Studio. Rooms and suites by MAKE Architects echo a distinct character and allure seen in the rest of the hotel, primarily influenced by Japanese minimalist aesthetic and complemented by moments of bold artistic expression.

Pioneered by Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, the epicurean cuisine in the restaurant is influenced by his years of studying Japanese cuisine in Tokyo and his extensive travels. The diverse celebration of flavours formed Nobu’s trademark ‘Nobu Style’, which is intrinsic to all Nobu menus worldwide.

The hotel is owned and developed by L+R Hotels whose portfolio includes some of the world’s most respected and prestigious hotels and resorts, including; Cliveden House, Fairmont Monte Carlo and Chewton Glen.
