A new standard for wellness travel in the heart of the Capital, The Westin London City to open

Westin Hotels & Resorts, part of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of 30 extraordinary brands, prepares to make its highly anticipated debut in the UK this November with the opening of The Westin London City. Owned by 4C Hotel Group and managed by RBH, the 222-guestroom hotel will offer a prime riverfront location on the north bank of the River Thames. Combining meaningful wellness with contemporary design, the hotel answers to the growing global demand for well-being among travellers.

The Westin London City embodies the brand’s six pillars of well-being – Sleep Well, Eat Well, Move Well, Feel Well, Work Well, and Play Well – through its thoughtful programming, aiming to empower guests to take back control of their routine when travelling. Guests will be encouraged to explore the local area with the renowned RunWESTIN programme offering specially created running routes that will take advantage of the soon-to-be-completed final part of the Thames Path, connecting Embankment and the Tower of London.

Guaranteeing a great night’s sleep, the celebrated Westin Heavenly bed features in each of the rooms and suites, created to provide the ultimate comfort for guests when they need it most. The Heavenly Spa has been designed to prioritise guest’s wellbeing, spread across 370 square metres, with six treatment rooms, and a 12-metre indoor pool which has been carefully constructed around the archaeological remains of the Huggin Hill Bathhouse below. The state-of-the-art WestinWORKOUT fitness studio will come complete with TRX exercise equipment and Peloton Bikes.

“Integrating wellbeing more holistically into our lifestyle has never been more important and we’re thrilled to be debuting the Westin Hotels & Resorts brand in the UK. Not only will the hotel set a new precedent for wellness in the capital, but its prime riverfront location will become a destination for locals, tourists and leisure travellers alike, offering incredible access to the city and its copious offerings,” said Sandra Schulze-Potgieter, Vice President, Premium & Select Brands, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Marriott International.

Led by British architects Dexter Moren Associates, the design of The Westin London City is fluid and sculptural, built on the premise that a connection to nature enhances wellbeing. Upon arrival, guests and locals will be greeted by an open and airy atrium space leading to two dining destinations, Hithe & Seek, a new riverside wine bar split across two levels with views across the Thames offering wine pairings, light bites and sharing dishes, and Mosaic, an all-day dining restaurant with a focus on nourishing international cuisine.

“Following more than a year of no travel for many, I’m delighted to be welcoming guests back to the City with such an exciting new opening, there truly has never been a better time to visit London and experience its copious offerings. We invite guests to use The Westin London City as their base to explore the Capital.” said Alex Dallocchio, General Manager, The Westin London City.

This one-of-a-kind project also comprises nine distinct apartments with extensive river-facing views and 1,060 square metres of ultra-modern meeting and events space. Allowing flexibility in function through simple and intuitive design details, the hotel’s Ballroom is a fluid space which can be easily tailored to host a range of events. Whilst the five expansive meeting rooms emulate the linear nature of the north lobby’s design, introducing residential touches and natural textures, resulting in a collaborative working space that sparks creativity.
