The Athenaeum Hotel & Residences in Mayfair has introduced two exceptional new suites, transforming its former top-floor lounge into elegant residential-style retreats with sweeping views across Buckingham Palace, Green Park and London's iconic skyline. Available as either a one-bedroom or two-bedroom suite, the spaces can also be interconnected to create an expansive three-bedroom penthouse overlooking Mayfair.

Offering a private sanctuary above the bustle of Piccadilly, the tenth-floor suites showcase luxurious British fabrics, plush furnishings and spectacular views across one of the capital's most historic landscapes. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the surrounding royal parkland, while in-room binoculars allow guests to take in the panoramic vistas from sunrise through to dusk.
Measuring 40sqm and 46sqm respectively, each suite features bespoke furnishings, carefully sourced British materials and thoughtfully curated details, including mood lighting and remote-controlled curtains. In-suite technology includes Bang & Olufsen soundbars, LG televisions and Dyson haircare appliances. A curated minibar offers Tregothnan loose-leaf tea, London Essence soft drinks and Cartwright & Butler biscuits. Bespoke artwork by London-based artists complements the interiors, while spacious marble bathrooms are stocked with Paul Smith Botanist toiletries, created exclusively for The Athenaeum's tenth-floor suites.
Guests staying in the new suites will enjoy the services of a dedicated personal concierge, available 24 hours a day to arrange bespoke experiences, organise transfers and ensure seamless check-in and check-out, as well as assist with any request throughout their stay.
The launch also marks a new culinary chapter for the hotel under Executive Chef Andre Costa. Bringing more than 20 years of experience, Costa's vision focuses on celebrating British produce through seasonal menus designed to complement the pace of guests' stays while enhancing the hotel's existing dining offering.
Edward Bracken, General Manager, said: "These new suites represent a unique opportunity for guests to experience London from an entirely new perspective. Perched above Piccadilly, they offer a rare sense of tranquillity, space and privacy, while still being immersed in the energy of Mayfair. Every detail has been carefully considered to create a refined, residential-style retreat that celebrates the very best of British design and hospitality. The launch of our new suites is just the beginning of an exciting evolution for The Athenaeum. As we continue to reimagine the hotel, our focus remains on creating distinctive experiences that resonate with modern travellers while staying true to our British roots."

The unveiling of the suites marks the beginning of a significant investment programme at The Athenaeum, which will include the refurbishment of every guest room alongside enhancements to the ground floor spaces.
As part of Sutton Hotel Collection, the development reflects the group's continued commitment to creating exceptional, design-led hospitality experiences that celebrate the individuality of each property while setting new standards for modern British luxury.
