The hottest opening this summer - promising a Mediterranean escape like no other, with unparalleled access to the island’s iconic views and rugged coastlines, Nobu Hotel Santorini will open its doors on June 29th. Sitting head and shoulders above the competition – Nobu Hospitality’s first venture in Greece brings with it heartfelt Nobu service, the brand’s understated luxury flair, as well as a new mesmerising, sea-facing dining destination in the form of the country’s very first Nobu Restaurant.
Nobu Restaurant Santorini
Nobu’s legendary cuisine lands in Santorini this summer, with the debut of Nobu Santorini, housed in the namesake 5-star hotel on the breath-taking Oia-Thira trail. True to Nobu’s DNA, the menu will feature some of the chef’s iconic (and most replicated) dishes, including the Black Cod Miso and Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeno, as well as new recipes inspired by the world-famous Greek culinary tradition.
The hotel’s breakfast – that is served until noon, in accordance with the hotel’s relaxed vibe – features the popular Nobu-Style “Full English”, Scrambled Egg Donburi and Matsuhisa Benedict to sweeter Chia Pudding and local Kagianas, a simple combination of scrambled eggs, feta and tomato. At lunch, guests can choose from a variety of Mediterranean dishes and rotating ‘off the menu specials’ (don’t forget ask for the catch of the day) or opt for heartier options like Fried Umami Chicken Wings, Donburi and Wagyu Beef Sando. The signature Nobu experience is served at dinnertime and features dishes such as Nobu Tacos, Wagyu Dumplings, Rock Shrimps Tempura and Seafood & Beef Toban Yaki.
Running the show in Nobu Hotel Santorini’s kitchen is Executive Chef Ricardo Marin, who has been on the brand’s culinary frontline in key destinations like Shoreditch, London and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. His innovative style of cooking and flexibility to adapt to new cultures, flavours, and ingredients, makes him the perfect leader for the latest Nobu venue.
The Nobu Daycation
A hideaway attracting revellers, jetsetters, couples and wellness-seekers, Nobu Hotel Santorini is the newest ‘daycation destination’ in the Cyclades. Both Nobu guests, locals and island visitors alike can spend the day at the hotel with the Nobu Daycation; an all-encompassing experience of the hotel’s unique cliffside setting, dual-level infinity pool, daily entertainment and Nobu cuisine.
Start the day on the right foot and enjoy a dip in the hotel’s dreamy infinity pool, before heading to the viewpoint to absorb sights of the azure sea and volcanic caldera. For lunch, indulge in Nobu Restaurant’s signature dishes as the DJ mixes and the sun caresses. Spend the afternoon lounging by the pool on plush sunbeds that ooze style and comfort, before watching the sun go down from a prime spot by the pool, with a fresh drink in hand, in the company of likeminded people.
Nobu Santorini is open for breakfast (8:00-12:00), lunch (12:00-19:00) and dinner (19:00 onwards) and a 24-hour in-room dining service is available to those who prefer to dine in the privacy of their suites. Nightly stays including breakfast start from €1,000 (£843) per night in a Aozora suite.
