Lake District Farmers, suppliers of Michelin-starred restaurant quality meat from small scale hill farmers in the Lake District, are collaborating with top chefs Michel Roux Jr and Jason Atherton to offer two fabulous new ‘At Home’ boxes for home delivery.
Their latest lockdown gourmet experiences are collaborations with Michel Roux Jr and Jason Atherton.
This is the first time that Le Gavroche and Jason Atherton’s restaurants have offered home deliveries. Lake District Farmers collaborated with Sally Abe and The Harwood Arms during the previous lockdown on a very successful Sunday Roast box, prompting this next phase in their home delivery operation.
The spectacular quality boxes contain everything needed to serve a fabulous three course meal for two people at home, plus bread and petit fours. The boxes contain part-prepared dishes created in the chefs’ Michelin-starred kitchens using top grade meat from Lake District Farmers.
Michel Roux Jr says: “We have resisted offering At Home deliveries previously as we wanted to be sure that the experience was compatible with our guests’ expectations of Le Gavroche. Whilst nothing is going to replace going out to eat in a lovely restaurant, we all have to be as flexible as possible during the next few weeks of lockdown, and we are really pleased with the way this collaboration is going with Lake District Farmers. It’s a delicious menu!”
Jason Atherton says: “I’m thrilled to be teaming up with one of my long-standing suppliers Lake District Farmers, to create an ‘At Home Box’ for 2 people to share, providing people over lockdown
the opportunity to enjoy my food and the Lake District Farmer’s wonderful produce at home. Given the present situation, not only will the boxes bring restaurant quality food to the people’s dining tables, they will also support the farms that Lake District Farmers source their meat from and allow us to continue to support the supply chain of our restaurants which has been affected this year.”

The Le Gavroche and Jason Atherton At Home menus will be changing weekly, so there’s something special to look forward to for the duration!
The hard work has been done in advance, and the boxes arrive cleverly packed with all meal components and instructions on creating the finished dishes.
As well as the At Home boxes, the Lake District Farmers website offers a range of fresh local meat and poultry boxes for home cooks for delivery throughout the UK, and you can build your own box from a wide selection of beef, lamb and pork joints and cuts and whole chicken and chicken pieces.
