How to experience London to its full extent

London is the biggest and also the capital city of the United Kingdom and England. The history of London goes back to Roman times when this city was called Londinium. Reminders of London's ancient history can still be seen in the city today. London is also one of the world's largest financial centres and is home to more than a hundred companies, many of which are among the 500 largest in Europe.

If you are planning a trip to London, you must be wondering which sights you must see. This city has so many attractions and interesting things that it takes months to visit and get to know everything, so it is best to plan your trip ahead of time because no matter which way you turn, you will always regret that at least you haven't visited yet. Here are a few tips on how to enjoy London and experience the city to its full extent.

London Bridge and Tower Bridge

London Bridge and Tower Bridge are not the same, but if you've got them confused, you're certainly not the only one. London Bridge is a famous landmark and is also located on the Thames. Tower Bridge is one of the trademarks of London and is featured on many postcards, brochures, and panoramic images of London.

Tower Bridge is located on the Thames, close to the Tower of London, London Bridge, and City Hall. You can take the underground to Tower Hill, Monument, or London Bridge stations and get to the Tower of London quickly. Another good way of getting fast transport in London is by renting a luxury car from Apex Luxury Car Hire, which will give you privacy and a comfortable ride. There are several things you must do when visiting this landmark. First of all, it is a beautiful bridge, so a camera or mobile phone is indispensable because you will simply have to take pictures of it. It is clear why this bridge is on so many postcards. Second, be sure to cross the Thames and enjoy the view. Third, is the place itself. Tower Bridge offers fantastic views of London, so take some time to soak up the atmosphere.

To fully enjoy it, it is best to check when the bridge is open to traffic. The best place to watch the bridge being raised is from the shore.

Big Ben

Big Ben is one of London's well-known landmarks. It is the largest clock tower with a belfry in the world. Don't miss Big Ben if you go to London!

Big Ben is probably London's most recognisable attraction. Technically speaking, the name itself refers to the huge bell in the tower, which weighs more than thirteen tons. The tower looks spectacular at night when all the lights are illuminated.

The Elizabethan Tower is 96 meters high, and to climb to the very top, you need to climb 399 steps.

Buckingham Palace

You can't say you've visited London if you haven't walked to Buckingham Palace. This palace has been home to the British royal family since 1837. It has 775 rooms and is the largest private garden in London.

One part of the palace is open to visitors so that you can feel the atmosphere of the royal home. Ahead, you can watch the famous changing of the royal guard, which is a detour attraction. This procedure occurs several times a day and is a great opportunity to observe a royal tradition.

London Eye

A trip to London is not complete without visiting the famous London Eye. This carousel was built to celebrate the coming millennium. It offers the best possible view of the whole of London. At night, the London Eye is lit in different colours, and now every year on New Year's Eve there is also a fireworks display.

Of course, you can also ride this carousel. It is best to combine a visit to the Eye with the London Aquarium, which has many different animals from all over the world - from jellyfish to seahorses to crocodiles.

London at Night

London is an urban metropolis. There is always something going on here, even late into the night. When the sun goes down, the lights magically illuminate the city.

There are plenty of organised tours around the city at night, both on foot and by bus. You should also visit St. Paul's Cathedral which is beautifully lit in the evening. If you like nightlife and enjoy neon lights, go to Soho or the West End.
