The Berkeley will be taking to the streets delivering joyful bundles of breakfast by bike. Two different breakfasts are available during lockdown and beyond, and will be whizzed to neighbourhood doors via The Berkeley’s bikes to bring a little comfort to the local SW1X area.
Pastries fresh from The Berkeley’s bakery, juice, vibrant fruit salads, granola and smoked salmon bagels are all on the menu, complete with the daily newspaper and complimentary delivery, or – for those on an early morning lockdown walk – The Berkeley Breakfast In Bed offerings are available for collection from the hotel.
Two menus will be available. The first sees a choice of pressed juice – including The Berkeley Boost, a blend of carrot, orange, turmeric, apple and ginger to keep colds at bay – fresh fruit salad, and delicious pastries made that morning in The Berkeley’s bakery. This duo of croissant and pain au chocolat is accompanied with salted butter and strawberry jam.
The second menu, should you be a little more peckish, sees an additional two breakfast treats – one sweet and one savoury. A classic Scottish smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel will keep you going all morning, and granola with Greek yoghurt, berries and Acacia honey will satisfy those with a sweet tooth. The Berkeley Breakfasts are bundled with a copy of The Times, in brown paper with personalised tags and each stamped with a message from the hotel. All you need do, is boil the kettle and snuggle down with your feast.
For a celebratory start to the morning, half or full bottles of champagne are available, accompanied by orange juice for a classic breakfast Mimosa or three. Should you wish to order for a friend in the area, to mark their birthday, or just to tell them you miss them, The Berkeley team will take to their bikes with balloons and handwritten cards.
The Berkeley Breakfast in Bed menus cost £15 or £24 per person and will be available for delivery in SW1X or collection from the hotel - Wilton Place SW1X 7RL - seven days a week, from 8 – 11am. This service will run until January 2021.
