The Rugby World Cup

One of the most anticipated sporting events is the Rugby World Cup. Held once every four years, it is the centrepiece of rugby sports. It is the big stage that the world's best rugby players dream of playing on. The event lasts seven weeks and is considered the world's third-largest sports event after the Summer Olympics and Football World Cup.

The 2023 Rugby World Cup is taking place in France from September 8 until October 28 across nine venues in the country, from the heartlands of the south to Paris, Nantes, Lille, and further up north. Teams from 20 different nations will be competing this year. With high hopes for home success, the atmosphere is electrifying in France right now.

If you only have time to visit one venue, the Stade de Bordeaux in Bordeaux is a must-visit. With a capacity of 42,060, the Stade de Bordeaux in Bordeaux is one of the venues for the Rugby World Cup. It premiered in 2015 and is sponsored by Matmut, a French insurance business. The massive stadium sits next to a nature reserve north of the city along the banks of the scenic River Garonne. The stadium is renowned for its distinct architecture and hosted some games during Euro 2016.

The Moto GP

The Moto GP is the premier class of motorcycle racing, taking place since the early 20th century. Motorcycling fans worldwide are eager to watch this race, featuring 19 races worldwide and lasting from March to November. Moto racers get rankings and standings throughout the season.

The Moto GP is considered the oldest motorsport World Championship, with the first Moto GP race held in 1949. When the Japanese motorbike industry started booming around the 1960s, many popular motorcycling brands participated in the race. It was in 2002 that the race was named Moto GP, which also introduced 990cc racing, a type of engine allowing bikes to run much faster.

The racetrack for MotoGP is made of smooth pavement, allowing riders to drive at a fast speed without losing control of their motorcycle. They have to install crowns on the pavement to let the water roll off the track after rain and not leave paddles on the track.

The 2023 Moto GP World Championship is happening in various countries worldwide on many different continents, from Australia to Europe, Asia, and South America. Therefore, those planning to watch the race will have plenty of options to secure their tickets and witness this thrilling global spectacle.

Rome Marathon

Joining the Rome Marathon is one of the most exciting ways to take in the sights and sounds of Italy's bustling capital. So, if you are passionate about running and want to explore Rome in style, signing up for the marathon might be worth considering.

The Rome Marathon has been around since the 1980s, luring tourists and marathoners to the historic city for many years. What makes the marathon special is the place where it's taking place. Dubbed the "Eternal City," Rome is home to some of the world's most impressive historical sites dating back thousands of years. Many of them are still standing and are part of the race.

The start of the Marathon Race was relocated temporarily to St. Peter's Square in 2000, where Pope John Paul II blessed the participants before heading out on the 26-mile journey. Another memorable event in marathon history was during the 1960 Olympic Games. It was when barefoot Ethiopian Abebe Bikila bagged two gold medals at the marathon distance race.

Some of the world's avid runners have joined the Rome Marathon, ranging from elite athletes to elderly marathoners. While some are keen on winning the race, others only want to soak in the scenery and run at their own pace.

The Formula 1

Formula 1 is on the bucket list of every auto racing fan, so it's no surprise that Formula 1 tickets are in high demand, often selling out quickly. Also called F1, it's the highest level of single-seat, open-wheel motor racing. Governed by the International Automobile Federation, or FIA, the term "formula" comes from the rules drivers participating in the race must follow. Whoever crosses the finish line first after completing a specific number of laps is the winner.

The F1 race originated in Europe around the 1920s. Around 1946, the FIA standardised the racing rules, forming the basis of F1 racing. Aside from the World Championship series, many other non-championship F1 races are taking place.

Several countries worldwide have hosted Formula One races. But the most prestigious of all is the Monaco Grand Prix. Renowned for its glamour and sophistication, Monaco is the perfect destination for luxurious sporting events like Formula One.

In addition, Monaco has some of the world's most challenging tracks to drive due to the narrow streets, which makes watching the race even more spectacular. Even the slightest error or loss of concentration can result in a collision.

PGA Championship

The PGA Championship is one of the world's four major golf tournaments and a must-see for golf fanatics. It is a prestigious sports tournament held on a variety of courses each year, including for the greatest golfers of all time. And is overseen by the Professional Golfers' Association of America. Aside from the prize money, the winner will receive a lifetime invitation to participate in future PGA Championships.

The PGA Championship took place on numerous golf courses across the United States. In the early days, it was held in remote resorts like the French Lick and Shawnee Inn, which are logistically challenging. Some future venues for the PGA Championship include the recent U.S. Open sites, such as the Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville for the PGA 2024.
