The Lodge - Ultimate luxury in the Swiss Alps

Sir Richard Branson's mountain retreat in Verbier, perched high in the Swiss Alps, is the perfect year-round escape. The Lodge is a luxury mountain chalet comprising of nine stunning bedrooms and suites, an indoor pool, indoor and outdoor Jacuzzi, spa and three Michelin-star trained chefs.

It is an ideal setting for visits in both summer and winter; skiers will appreciate the personal service and pristine snow conditions in the winter months, whilst the beauty of the mountains and warm temperatures are perfect for hiking and cycling in the summer.

The stunning chalet is spread over five floors with nine en-suite bedrooms, seven suites and two top floor Master Suites. The kid’s bunkroom has plenty of space for up to 6 children or young adults, as well as a plasma screen TV with DVD player, an Xbox games console, and bean bags. Rates at The Lodge include all food and drinks.

WHAT TO DO: The team at The Lodge can plan a personalised stay taking care of every detail for a mountain adventure. After an active day in the mountains, guests can relax and unwind by booking a treatment at the in-house spa or by taking a dip in the indoor pool or Jacuzzi. The Lounge allows guests to snuggle up in front of the fire with a good book, or those looking to let their hair down can head to the Party Room which features a pool table, a bar, a wine selection, games console and a 50” plasma screen.

LOCATION & ACCESS: The Lodge is located in the Swiss Alps in a forested area just a five minute walk from the town centre of Verbier, and only 250m from the main Medran lift station. The nearest international airport is in Geneva, which is approximately a two-hour drive from The Lodge and is served by major international carriers. Alternatively, guests can take a two-hour train ride from Geneva to Martigny, a town about 30 minutes’ drive from The Lodge; a perfect way to enjoy the spectacular scenery. We recommend sitting on the right side of the train in the direction of travel to get the best views, but keep that to yourself so you can shotgun the window seat!

CHILDREN: All children under 12 are welcomed as ‘Lodge Rangers’. Rangers are given a welcome pack when they arrive and a range of activities will be ready and waiting, including children’s DVDs, toys, books and games. The Alps is the perfect spot for exploring and the team are great at creating treasure hunts to keep the little ones entertained. Come evening, if they’re not too tired after a busy day out in the mountains, the dedicated bunkroom is the ultimate youngsters’ hideaway sleeping up to six children with three sets of bunk beds, a separate shower and toilet, a plasma screen TV with DVD player, a games console, and bean bags.
