Marine & Lawn Collection unveils three exciting Scottish openings

Marine & Lawn Collection will offer a hand-crafted hospitality experience made for travellers embarking upon once-in-a-lifetime visits to the birthplace of golf. The three properties positioned along the historic Scottish golf coast including Rusacks St Andrews in St Andrews, Scotland; Marine North Berwick in North Berwick, Scotland; and The Marine Hotel in Troon, Scotland.


Marine North Berwick Opening Spring 2021

Previously the Macdonald Marine Hotel & Spa in North Berwick, Scotland, the recently-acquired 83-key hotel will undergo extensive renovations and open in spring 2021 as the Marine North Berwick. The reimagined hotel will debut with 89-keys, two food and beverage concepts, 6,000 square feet of meeting and event space and an indoor-outdoor spa and fitness centre. Situated in the quaint seaside town along Scotland’s ‘Golf Coast’, the hotel overlooks the 16th hole of the historic West Links course at North Berwick Golf Club and boasts scenic views of the Firth of Forth and Bass Rock. The hotel is located minutes from the renowned Muirfield golf club, as well as a range of prestigious courses including Archerfield Links, The Renaissance Club and the Gullane Golf Club.


Marine Troon Opening Summer 2021

Marine & Lawn will open a 89-key hotel along the Ayrshire Coast in the seaside town of Troon, Scotland, in summer 2021. Previously The Marine Hotel, the recently-acquired property will debut revitalised guest rooms, two unique food and beverage concepts, expansive meeting and event space and a new fitness and leisure centre with an indoor pool, squash court, sauna and steam facilities. Design throughout will take inspiration from Scotland's rich golf history, complemented with distinct decor that celebrates the hotel’s coastal positioning with soft hues and rich, natural textures. The hotel will boast unobstructed views of the 1st and 18th fairways of Royal Troon's Old Course, which has played host to nine Open Championships. 


Rusacks St Andrews - opening Summer 2021

Rusacks will debut with 114 keys, with a rooftop bar and restaurant overlooking the 18th hole of the Old Course at St Andrews, as well as the historic Swilcan Bridge. Situated in an unmatched location, the hotel features panoramic views of the world’s oldest golf course and the nearby North Sea. The quaint coastal region of North East Fife offers charming seaside villages, St Andrews University and an array of museums and cultural happenings, including the British Golf Museum and ruins of St Andrews Castle, in addition to a renowned 600 years of world-class golf history. Considered the “Home of Golf,” St Andrews boasts ten highly respected golf courses, including the iconic Old Course, which regularly hosts the British Open Championship. Design throughout the Rusacks Hotel will take inspiration from the centuries of St Andrews history, as well as the destination’s lush, coastal positioning and the city’s legendary golf tradition.
