Experience unparalleled luxury at Hotel d'Inghilterra Roma — Starhotels Collezione as it unveils its newly revamped rooms and suites. Following the first phase of renovations, this historic 5-star gem in the heart of Rome reopens with a promise of elevated refinement and comfort.

Hotel d'Inghilterra Roma — Starhotels Collezione boasts a rich history, drawing the international elite and Roman nobility since the 19th century. Its superb location, eclectic interiors, and timeless elegance have captivated the most discerning travellers.

The recent renovation, a testament to Starhotels' dedication to enhancing guest experiences while preserving the establishment's legacy, encompassed exterior restoration, historic facade preservation, and room refurbishment.

Guided by the themes of excellence and refinement, the renovation takes inspiration from the 19th-century Grand Tour, imbuing rooms with a harmonious blend of antiquity and modernity. Each suite features restored antiques from the hotel's collection, celebrating uniqueness.

The rooms, adorned with warm colours, reflect Starhotels' quintessential Italian design while fabrics selected with partners like Rubelli evoke hues reminiscent of ancient Roman palaces.

The top-floor suites showcase classic Italian aesthetics through marble and stucco embellishments, providing an ideal backdrop for Rome's scenic beauty. Pincio, Villa Borghese, Altare della Patria, and Quirinale unfold through attic suite windows, merging exterior and interior in a captivating dance.

The Penthouse Suite reigns as the jewel, offering a luminous living room with a 19th-century yellow Sienese marble fireplace, dining room, study, and master bedroom. Opulent furnishings, Felice Calchi's bas-reliefs, and Vetrerie di Empoli's lamps grace the suite, while Dedar's velvets and fabrics complete the ambiance. A spacious 70 sqm terrace crowns the suite, offering panoramic views from Villa Medici to Vittorio Emanuele II.

Balcony Suites on the fifth floor embody understated elegance, harmonizing black and white geometric motifs. Warm ochre, orange, and red upholstery evoke Rome's spirit. These suites feature Florentine Scagliola dining tables, complemented by outdoor balconies adorned with wrought-iron furniture.

The upcoming phases promise more, including room and communal space renovations, an intimate spa, and a rooftop bar. These additions will enhance Hotel d'Inghilterra's charm, preserving its legacy across generations.

Hotel d'Inghilterra's story dates back to the 16th century, when it hosted Palazzo Torlonia's noble guests. By the 19th century, it became the Hotel d'Angleterre, favored by British visitors, cementing its enduring connection to Britain and the House of Windsor. Notable guests like Keats, Byron, Shelley, James, Taylor, Peck, and Hemingway have graced its halls, enriching its legacy.
