Blooming Britain with PoB Hotels

With summer in full swing and Britain experiencing some of the warmest temperatures in its history, there seems no better time to take advantage of a sun-soaked staycation, perfectly timed as PoB Hotels celebrates the season with Blooming Britain.
A myriad of activities focused on fashion, film and florals meets the great charm of the English countryside and beyond at some of the nation’s most fabulous independent hotels.
Running until the end of the summer season, the initiative has already featured spring foraging with the likes of legendary wild-food aficionado Thomas Radford and, over the coming weeks, will offer further programmes and partnerships throughout the PoB portfolio.
Amongst the highlights is a fashion-forward partnership with Bicester Village, offering curated experiences as part of a suggested six-night itinerary exploring the South East. Starting at Sopwell House in leafy Hertfordshire, the journey tempts guests with the gorgeous Cottonmill Spa and delicious dining at Omboo before continuing to Buckinghamshire.
After exploring Hartwell House & Spa, best known as a National Trust hotel, the journey continues to Bicester Village, where retail therapy and privileged access await, before further retreats at Whatley Manor Hotel & Spa and, finally, Ellenborough Park, which is just another ten-minute drive away.
Also forming part of the programme is the opportunity to explore some of the undeniably beautiful gardens that frame the hotels in the collection. Entitled The Art of the Garden, the collection celebrates the estates’ well-manicured lawns and rose-filled landscapes. Notably picturesque gardens can be found at Bodysgallen Hall & Spa and Farlam Hall.
Floristry enthusiasts can also participate in the upcoming flower workshop at Gravetye Manor, led by Head Florist Sharon Coote. Using flowers gathered from the estate, participants will create beautiful bouquets at the workshop which is set to take place on 26 September and will also include a tour of the gardens.
